Our restaurant in York is our original location and retains the timeless elegance and beauty of the historic building in which we began our journey as local restaurateurs. Located in St. Sampson's Square in the historic York city centre, we have created a premium dining experience that is both luxurious and accessible. Our menu includes our signature flat iron steak, locally sourced and farm-fresh ingredients, seasonal offerings, and stunning cuts of meat from our in-house master butcher. We also offer a thoughtfully designed drinks menu featuring local and international craft beers, an extensive wine and champagne list, and signature cocktails. What time does the York restaurant open/close?

The Cut & Craft York location is open all day, every day. Join us from 11am until midnight. Food is served until 10pm.

How accessible is your York restaurant?

Our flagship restaurant in York is located in the historic City Centre, just minutes from several iconic local landmarks, including York Minster and The Shambles. We offer easy access by car or public transport.

Do you allow children?

We regretfully cannot admit any minors under the age of 10 for dinner reservations. However, families with children under the age of 10 are welcome for lunchtime bookings.

Do you allow pets?

Unfortunately, pets are not permitted.

What is the dress code?

The general rule of thumb for our dress code is smart casual. Guests are kindly asked to dress for the occasion when they visit The Cut & Craft. Smart jeans and fashion trainers are welcome, but beachwear and gym wear (including tracksuits, flip flops, and caps) are not permitted.

Is there outdoor dining available?

We regretfully do not offer outdoor dining at our York location currently.

Is there parking nearby the York restaurant?

Public parking can be found near St. Sampson’s Square and the York City Centre.

Do You Do Group Bookings?

Yes, The Cut & Craft can accommodate large groups of up to 8 guests with advance bookings. You’ll receive a booking confirmation email with the date, time and number of guests.

Can I alter my booking?

If you need to make changes, we will try our best to accommodate you. Please let us know as soon as possible. We ask for at least 12 hours’ notice to cancel any reservations. A cancellation fee may apply.

Should I book ahead?

You may book a table at The Cut & Craft at any time using our website reservation system. Reservations are not necessary at our York restaurant but are recommended, especially if you have a large group. View our FAQs page for more details.

Where are the closest transport links?

The Cut & Craft is located in York City Centre in St. Sampsons Square within a 5-minute walk of four bus stops: Stonebow, Theatre Royal, Piccadilly, and Low Ousegate. Alternatively, we are a 19-minute walk away from York train station.
