ABOUT THE EVENT

Over a century ago, guests gathered in this very building when it was home to the celebrated Collinson’s Café, renowned throughout Leeds for elegant afternoon teas accompanied by live music. Among the musicians who regularly performed here was Wallace Hartley, the talented violinist who would later become bandmaster aboard the Titanic.

Today, we proudly honour that remarkable heritage.

As you enjoy our signature Afternoon Tea, a live violinist will perform a carefully curated collection of classical favourites, modern interpretations and timeless melodies, recreating the atmosphere that once filled these historic walls.
